Rules of the Forum

Hi fellow Hyrulean ! If you choose to be part of the adventure that is Beyond Realms, there are a number of rules you need to know about and follow. The nice fairy that I am will ask you to read this thouroughly -despite it being a bit boring- and then, to respond to this topic by saying you understand and agree with the rules. If you do it, you might gain something from it !

Global Rules

Rating is kind of subjective as you can guess, but we want to keep the forum as suitable for ayoung audience as possible. All that you will post (whether it be RP posts, biographies, profile pictures, icons etc...) must not exceed a "Teenager" rating. What do we or do not allow :

Swearing

You are, of course, allowed some swearing. Although you must remind yourself that there is always an alternative for some very offensive words (F-word, racial, homophobic slurs...). Try to be as correct as possible. You aren't allowed to curse in topic titles obviously'

Nudity/Pornography

In nowhere on the forum are you allowed to post pornography. There is no 'buts'. You can, of course, exchange some nudity content in Private Message if you prefer to RP via message. (We encourage this if your RP exceed the Teenager rating).

Violence

If your RP is really graphic, don't forget to signal it in the title. If you don't, you'll get a message from moderators or administrators. Any images containing display of violence or gore is prohibited.

Displays of Affection

Again, if it is too graphic signal it in the title of your RP. We know it's a bit extreme but sexual RP isn't allowed (except in Private Message).

Reminder : If you want to exceed this rating, you need to warn an administrator or moderator and signal it into the title of your topic. Remember that exceeding the rating doesn't extent to illegal or extreme content. This will always remain prohibited.

2. No disrespect between or towards members

Any harassment towards a member, will it be sexual, violent, homophobic etc... will be followed by a ban. Any disagreement must be calm and composed. If you think that this can't be resolved, contact an administrator.

Any disagreement conducted inside the forum boundaries will be watched by moderators, though if something isn't noticed by them, don't hesitate to send a Private Message.

Harassment includes being mean or disregarding towards a member's own character. Please, keep your mind open.

3. Always respect the work of other

Try to always link any art to its original source, whether it be a profile picture, a signature, a banner, an icon, everything needs a link to its original owner. Especially copyrighted content ! (Noting that even the free content must have their own source link, support artists.)

Remember that we are a free platform, we do not make any money and you aren't allowed to make money using this platform. Also, if an artist comes to us to ask us to take down any content, we will, no questions asked.

4. Spam/advertising/auto-promoting is prohibited

Advertising isn't allowed anywhere on the forum. Any spam or link leaving the forum will be taken down if judged as advertising or spam.

If you have a non-lucrative forum/website you want to share, you can do it in this topic. Read .5 if you do.

5. Privacy and your responsability

We aren't allowed to share your email address or any concerning you without your consent. Although by signing in, you accept to receive Private Messages or Newsletter to keep you informed of what is happening on the forum. Except in urgent cases, we will never send you direct email. If you receive email from us, remember that it's an automatical email from forumotion.

Any cookie or advertisment or sponsorised content on the forum is not of our doing and we cannot do anything against it. We apologise for that.

We decline any responsability towards any materials, links, content posted on the forum. Anything linked on the site by third parties aren't Beyond Realms responsability. We are not responsible for the quality of the products or services advertised in those sites. You are completely responsible of any link posted on the forum. We do not have any liability to you for damages or any other problems exceeding accessing the forum. (Reminder that we're a free website).

Role Playing Rules

1. Don't Role Play with real content

Do not create a character based on real persons and do not use photography as profile pictures. It's, of course, ok to take inspiration fron any source you want.

2. Try to write with a correct English

It will be easier to understand you and easier to read you. It will also make your story more immersive for others. Txt speak isn't allowed on the forum.

If you are not a native speaker, it's more than ok. We're happy to welcome anyone who is willing to RP among us.

3. Don't be off topic

Before you post anything, make sure that you are posting in the right place. Read carefully the descriptions. If your answer has nothing to do with what is occuring in the thread, it'll be considered as spam and will be deleted.

Make sure to also title your topics properfly, especially if it has a special warning.

4. About the RP content

You do not have a length to respect when roleplaying. As we explained in the forum goals, we want to offer the most diverse experiences as possible. You are allowed to play on the mobile app or on your computer, mind with who you are roleplaying and how you are supposed to roleplay.

So, do not answer with 3 lines if your RP friend has answered with 50 lines.

You are allowed to link music or images but remember to mind the forum width. (Don't forget about linking the source !)

5. WIll you be missing ?

It's all very normal to not want to roleplay, to not have to time or any other reason. However, you need to tell an admin of when you'll be missing. Write it down on your profile could also benefit other players wanting to roleplay with you.
